Leica Geosystemshosted the 4th Young Surveyors Conference (#4YSC), a pre-event for the XXVI FIG Congress 2018 where the organisation was a platinum sponsor, 5-6 May in Istanbul.

During the event, more than 100 students participated in a variety of events to help them better understand the industry and prepare them for future careers in surveying and other related fields. Social and networking events were also offered, such as a cocktail cruise on the Bosphorus River and a charity dance with proceeds going to Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team Local Community “Yer Çizenler Herkes İçin Haritacılık Derneği" and FIG Foundation

Leica GeosystemsGeomatics Vice-President of Marketing and Services Craig Hill served as a keynote presenter, workshop facilitator and technology discussion panel member. During his activities, Hill spoke about the evolving field of technology and how future surveyors can take full advantage of this technology for their trade.
